'Surekha', 'Samagra' launched

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the aim of providing various services under local self- government bodies to the public, ‘Surekha’, the one-stop portal to access details of services, and ‘Samagra’, the mobile application on Android platform developed by Information Kerala Mission, were launched in the city by Social Justice Minister M K Muneer on Tuesday.

On ‘Surekha’, details regarding building tax, e-payment, welfare pension, status updates of applications submitted to local self- government institutions, gazette details, government orders and Central PWD rates can be known. Also, websites of local self-government and the institutions under it can be visited.

From ‘Samagra’,  services such as birth, death and marriage certificates, file tracking, building permit status, property tax details, project-planning details, e-tenders, details of government orders can be obtained.

The certificates obtained through these platforms, do not require signature or seal and are approved for official purposes. The details of birth, death and marriage registrations since 1970 are available online in almost all local self-government institutions and steps are on to enter the remaining data online.

A number of web-based software under Kerala Social Security Mission for welfare projects such as ‘Aswasa Kiranam’, ‘Samaswasam’, ‘Sneha Sparsham’, ‘Sneha Poorvam’, ‘Prathyasa’, disability card and ‘Sruthi Tharangam’ are awaiting launch in June.
