9 in Cops' Custody for Sexual Abuse of 2 Girls

PATHANAMTHITTA: In a joint operation led by the Adoor CI, nine out of 11 persons involved in the sexual harassment of two school girls were taken into custody by police on Friday.

The girls, ninth and 10th standard students of a private high school at Kadambanad near Adoor, were missing on December 4 and 5, the arts festival days of the school.  The police said that the girls were taken in an autorickshaw by two of the group of 11.

In the two-day ordeal, a total number of 11 persons harassed the girls, police said. The investigation was conducted by a joint team of police personnel from Enathu, Chackuvally and Adoor police under the leadership of the Adoor CI.
