NH Widening: Mosque Demolished

Express News Service

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Even as the demolition of the mosque at Pappanamcode as part of Karamana-Kaliyikkavila road-widening has been completed on Sunday , the ‘khabar’ (tomb) of Sufi saint Oinllah and another one are unlikely to be demolished and shifted to near the temporary facility  for a week.

The tree situated near the khabar  was also not axed on Sunday owing to the reluctance shown by the contractors citing its religious significance.  The demolition of the mosque located beside the stretch had began on Saturday.
