KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Monday permitted the State Government to appoint V Gopalakrishnan, principal of the Police Training College, Thiruvananthapuram, as the Chief Vigilance and Security Officer on deputation at the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB).

The proposal by the government to appoint Gopalakrishnan was opposed by the Hindu Ayikyavedi, alleging that he was facing criminal and corruption cases.
