THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:The police on Sunday said that E S Bijimol MLA’s complaint against Congress MLA M A Vahid for making defamatory statements against her in public as valid.
Bijimol had filed a complaint with the state police chief against Vahid and Kozhikode District Congress Committee president K C Abu for making defamatory public statements against her in connection with the incidents that took place in the Assembly when the state Budget was presented in March.
Police said the statements by Vahid were not unintentional and was explicitly aimed at CPI MLA. Vahid had made the comments during a function held at Sreekaryam to honour Finance Minister K M Mani.
