KOTTAYAM: In a major break through in the investigation in the Parambuzha triple murder case, the police team arrested the migrant employee, who went missing after the incident, from a slum in Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning. According to the police, the arrested is Narendra Kumar, 26, son of Kailash Chandra, of Rehana house, Firozabad.
Police said that Narendra, was working at the laundry shop run by the victims, under a fake name Jai Singh was missing after the incident.
The ID card submitted to acquire a mobile phone connection was in the name of Nihal Singh and he had given fake address there as well.
Arrest was made by the police team led by Pampadi Circle Inspector Saju Varghese. The police also raided Narendra’s house and some material evidences, including the mobile phone of one of the victim, Praveen Lal. The police team, which proceeded with the assistance of the Firozabad police, would bring back Narendra at the earliest after completing the procedures there.
According to higher police officials, they would soon interrogate Narendra to unfold the hidden links in the case and to ascertain the involvement of the more persons in the crime.
“Narendra went to his house in Firozabad after the incident. The entire police team staying in UP was successful in nabbing Narendra after massive search operations. The major hindrance during the search operations was that his mobile phone was switched off for a couple of days,” said Kanjirappally DySP K V Kuriakose.
It was on last Sunday morning that M K Lalson, 72, a retired health inspector, who hailed from Mooleparambil house, Thuruthelpady, his wife Prasanna Kumari, 54, an employee of Government Hospital, Kottayam, and their elder son Praveen Lal, 28, was found killed with their throat slit.
