THRISSUR: Chandrakanthathil Balachandran,59, father of film star Bhavana, passed away on Thursday, after he was admitted at a private hospital here owing to high blood pressure.
He was an assistant cinematographer in the Malayalam industry, continuing with his work even after Bhavana entered the film industry.
He is survived by wife Pushpalatha. They have a son Jayadevan.
