CPM Branch Secretary Shown the Door

KASARGOD:  The CPM has sacked a branch leader from party after he was caught on the CCTV camera trying to break into a house of a non-resident Indian to burgle in Trikaripur.

Vayalodi branch secretary C Raghavan has been stripped off the party's primary membership, CPM district secretary K P Satheesh Chandran said.On Monday, a relative of Mohammed Younus, a UAE-based businessman, found the door of his house ajar at Kaikkottukadav. Younus and his family live abroad. The relative immediately informed Chandera police. During the probe, police ascertained that the family had not kept anything of high value in the house. Meanwhile, the family released the CCTV video footage to people in the neighbourhood. As soon as the people recognised the star of the video, Raghavan went into hiding. He was seen holding a crowbar around midnight in Younus's house. Chandera police, which registered a case, said they would have to first trace Raghavan and question him.  Satheesh said Raghavan was first removed as Vayalodi branch secretary but soon sacked from the party on the basis of the latest development.
