Within an hour, CPM and BJP activists hacked to death in Kerala

A CPM activist was hacked to death around 10.15pm at Payyanur in Kannur district.

KANNUR: In less than an hour after the CPM activist was killed, BJP activist and president of BMS C K Ramachandran (52), son of Kunhiraman Poduval, a resident of Annur, was hacked to death in Payyanur on Monday night.

According to police, he was killed after the country bombs were hurled to his house, allegedly by CPM workers.

House of RSS district Karyavahak P Rajjesh was also attacked by bomb.

The incident took place less than an hour after, the CPM activist Dhanraj, a resident of Kunnaru in Payyanur was hacked to death by a group of people who came in their motor bike and in his house at 10.15pm.

While CPM has called for a hartal soon after the incident, the killing of the BJP activist comes soon after it.

CPM district secretary P Jayarajan, said that the killing of the party workers shows that BJP/ RSS plans to unleash violence in the state.

He said that while the BJP is killing people on one side and propagating CPM as fascist force, the incident of two CPM people being killed since the elections, only point to the RSS/ BJP agenda, that they want to implement in the state, he added.

Meanwhile BJP leadership blamed the CPM for the violence in the district and for the murder of their activist in Payyanur.
