THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Breaking his silence in the MK Damodaran issue for the first time, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday said Damodaran has no restrictions for appearing in any case.
Justifying his legal advisor, who created quite a controversy after appearing for lottery king Santiago Martin before the High Court, Pinarayi said Damodaran is not taking any remuneration for being the chief minister's legal advisor.
"He's continuing as chief minister's legal advisor without any remuneration. It's for him to decide which case he should taken up," Pinarayi said while responding to opposition charges during a submission on case registered against Director General of Prosecution Manjeri Sreedharan Nair.
Meanwhile opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala hit back at the CM saying that if that's the case be M K Damodaran may even appear for the accused in Jisha murder case too.
