KOCHI: Actor Dileep, the 11th accused in the actress assault case, on Tuesday submitted before the Kerala High Court he was implicated in the case on the basis of concocted charges which were more dramatic than a film plot. According to Dileep, he had been falsely implicated in the case as part of a larger conspiracy by a powerful section in the film industry with a view to ousting him from the industry.

He had been arrested based on the confession by prime accused Pulsar Suni. In fact, the petitioner had never seen or talked to Suni. The meeting with the first accused at four places on four occasions between the alleged conspiracy and execution period were only accidental. The investigation agency had no case the first accused had ever contacted the petitioner over the phone or vice versa, Dileep submitted.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case to Wednesday.
