Sabarimala revenue crosses Rs 100 crore

SABARIMALA: The total revenue of Lord Ayyappa temple here reached `101.08 crores during the period ended on December 10 of the ongoing pilgrimage season. The income during the corresponding period in the previous pilgrimage season stood at `85.96 crores marking an increase of over `15 crore. Of the total income, the proceeds from aravana prasadam during the period stood at `44.77 crores as against `37.73 crore during the same period in the previous pilgrimage season.

The hundi collection during the period stood at `35.85 crores in contrast to `27.85 crores during the corresponding period in the last pilgrimage season.The income from the sale of appam prasadam during the period came to `7.90 crores as against `7.31 crore during the same period in the previous pilgrimage season.
