MANGALURU: “The RSS has no ideology of its own. Its ideology is based on policies pursued by fascist dictators like Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler,” Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Saturday. He was addressing the gathering at ‘Souharda rally’ (rally for harmony) organised by the CPIM at Nehru Maidan.

Just as Hitler eliminated Jews and communists, RSS has been targeting minorities and communists in India, he said. He accused the RSS of treachery by asserting RSS leader Veer Savarkar had met the British Viceroy and had promised them cooperation.

“The RSS never took a pro-people stand, never worked for the unity of India and continues to pursue a divisive agenda,” he said targeting the RSS throughout his hourlong speech. Pinarayi accused the RSS of being intolerant and murdering activists like Kalburgi, Govind, Narendra Dabholkar, among others. “The RSS also attacked Huchangi Prasad, Chethana Teerthahalli, Girish Karnad, Murugan, M T Vasudevan Nair and harassed them mentally by booking for them train tickets to Pakistan.”

Pinarayi Vijayan’s comment BJP leaders were killing each other drew applause from the crowd. CPI state secretary V J K Nair, former MLA Shriram Reddy among others were present. Later, he returned to Kerala by Maveli Express train.
