THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A canteen employee of the MLA Hostel here has complained to the Legislature Secretariat that P C George, Poonjar MLA, had physically assaulted him on Monday afternoon. Cafe Kudumbashree worker Manu (22) complained that he sustained injuries to the eye and lip after the MLA and his aide reportedly attacked him for delaying lunch.

According to the complainant, he was attacked for the delay of 20 minutes in bringing lunch to the MLA's room. Manu claimed that the delay occurred due to a backlog of orders.

Meanwhile, PC George said he had only rebuked the waiter and had not assaulted him.
