KOZHIKODE: A love affair turned tragic for an 18-year-old city girl when she died under mysterious circumstances at Tirupur where she reached along with her lover after eloping with him a few days ago. Hanisha’s death was informed to her family members by the local police based on the details given by Tirupur police. Reports said the girl allegedly fell from a mov ing t r a in o n Wednesday morning and suffered serious injuries. Though she was rushed to a hospital at Tirupur, she succumbed to her injuries.

Police are on the lookout for her boyfriend identified as Abhiram, (18), a native of Kuttikattoor. Police said, it was her boyfriend who admitted her to the hospital but he later went missing and his mobile phone was switched off. The girl left home after telling her father that she was going to Bangalore along with Abhiram to find a job.

Though the family members informed the police about her elopement, the police didn’t register a man missing case as the girl, who was a major, had decided to leave the house on her own and she was in constant touch with her family members. However, the police registered a missing case on Wednesday after Tirupur police informed about the accident. “A team of police has gone to Tirupur to collect details. We will ascertain how the accident occurred,” said Kasaba Sub Inspector S Sajeev.
