KOCHI: The special investigation team probing the actor assault case has reportedly questioned Malayalam playback singer and actor Rimi Tomy in connection with alleged financial dealings with the actor Dileep accused in the case.
Sources said, the investigating team maintained that the singer was a close friend of couple Dileep and actor Kavya Madhavan and that her statement was recorded because she had some business dealings with Dileep.
An investigating officer reportedly collected her statements over phone and she would be questioned once again.
Meanwhile, Rimi Tomy denied the reports of business deals with Dileep. She clarified that the police officers collected a few details from her but it was not an interrogation.
