KASARGOD: A boutique manager was killed when his car veered off the road and rammed into a building at Anangoor in Kasargod, a spice-growing town in southern Kerala, said police.

Abdul Basith (22), manager of Lopez, was returning home from the boutique when the accident happened around 2 am Tuesday. 

Residents said they called the Fire and Rescue Service upon hearing the crash. The officials had to cut open the door to extract Basith from the car, they added.

He was rushed to a private hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Son of Abdul Khader and Fausia of Pulikur near Uliyathadukka, Basith had recently returned from Bahrain, the relatives said.
