KOTTAYAM: The police on Friday took into custody two persons from Kottayam in connection with the case of abduction and sexual assault of a Malayalam film actor in Kochi.

They were taken into custody on charges of obtaining SIM cards using fake documents, which later became vital in the police probe.

Those taken into custody are Martin and Moncy, both natives of Kottayam. The police have also registered a separate case against four persons, including Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case, for securing SIM card using fake identity.

Police said Martin, who is managing a job consultancy at Thirunakkar had bought a SIM card using fake documents for his friend Moncy, a native of Pala, the police said.
