Bharat Gaurav tourist train’s maiden journey on May 19

The train can accommodate a total of 750 tourists.

PALAKKAD: The Bharat Gaurav tourist train, which will cover the golden triangle along with Hyderabad and Goa, is scheduled to commence its journey from Kochuveli on May 19, said Sreejith Bappuji, regional manager, IRCTC, Ernakulam. The train can accommodate a total of 750 tourists.

The tour conducted by IRCTC will cover tourist destinations, including Hyderabad, Agra, New Delhi, Jaipur and Goa. Tourists can board the train from Kochuveli, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Ottappalam, Palakkad Junction, Podanur, Erode or Salem and deboard at Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur, Thrissur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Kollam or Kochuveli.

The leisure sojourn of 11 nights and 12 days will cover 6,475km. The train will return to Kochuveli on May 30, said Zakeer Hussein, additional divisional railway manager.
