Kerala veterinarian found dead at Vantara sanctuary in Gujarat

Vaisakh’s mortal remains were brought to his house at Koorkenchery. An autopsy will be conducted on Friday.

THRISSUR: Vaisakh Viswan, 36, a veterinarian from Koorkenchery in Thrissur, was found dead at the Vantara sanctuary in Gujarat on Wednesday. The body of Vaisakh, who had been working at Vantara for the past six years, was found with a suspected head injury in the bathing pond meant for elephants. According to reports, he may have slipped and fallen into the pond.

Vaisakh was an alumni of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS) in Mannuthy, where he also served as a teaching assistant. Vaisakh is survived by wife and two children, who were with him in Gujarat. Vaisakh’s mortal remains were brought to his house at Koorkenchery. An autopsy will be conducted on Friday.
