BHUBANESWAR: The District and Sessions Judge, Bhubaneswar, on Wednesday granted bail to Lenin Kumar and two employees of the Sovan printing press - Rabindra Jena and Dhananjay Lenka. The bail conditions include Rs 20,000 and one surety each.

Lenin, the editor of ‘Nisan’, was arrested by police on December 7 for writing inflammatory literature, particularly the book ‘Dharma Naare Kandhamalare Rakta Banya’ on Kandhamal and its volatile communal situation.

He was been charged under Section 153-A/295-A of IPC which deals with actions fostering enmity between groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language and acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony along with deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious belief.

The other two had been arrested from the printing press where hundreds of copies of the book were found.
