BHUBANESWAR: Loknath Behera, IPS officer from Kerala cadre, has been awarded the President’s police medal for distinguished service on the occasion of the Independence Day. At present, he is working as the Inspector General of Police (operations and coordination), National Investigation Agency (NIA), New Delhi. He hails from Puri. He has held important positions, both in Kerala as well as at the Centre. He worked in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as superintendent of police and deputy inspector general (DIG).
