PURI: Kalpana Dash, first Oriya woman to scale the Mount Everest, continued her protest for the second day on Sunday by begging for alms.

The Government had failed to keep its promise for a job to Kalpana. Harassed, Kalpana began begging at the Puri Jagannath temple on Saturday.

Though she sat all alone in front of the temple main gate and begged for her sustenance, none from the Government turned up to her rescue.
