BHUBANESWAR: Two youths, in a state of inebriation, roughed up a scribe in Rasulgarh area on Sunday afternoon. The duo did not spare the local policemen and attacked them too.

However, they were arrested with help of locals and given a sound thrashing. They have been identified as Tukuma Jagadev and Silu Srichandan.

Police said Biswajit Dash, a reporter with Odia daily “Sambad” came under attack from the two after his bike brushed the vehicle the accused were travelling in. The duo started hurling abuses at Dash and rained blows and punches without any provocation.

When the scribe ran to the nearest police outpost, Tukuna and Silu followed him. Two constables prevented them but came under attack.

Later, they were captured.
