Heavy and continuous downpour has thrown life out of gear across Kalahandi district. Maximum 310 rainfall was recorded in Thuamul Rampur in last 24 hours.

River Hati was in spate with its water flowing three feet above NH-201 at Junagarh. Similarly, rain water has entered low lying areas including Biripur and Matikhan under Kalampur block.

Power supply and road communication have been disrupted in Singari Ghat, Thuamul Rampur and Kalampur blocks.

The rainfall recorded in other areas were 215 mm in Junagarh, 204 mm in Jaipatna and 240 mm in Kalampur.
