A drawing competition for school students on Shirdi Sai Baba was held here at Unit I Government High School on Sunday.

A drawing competition for school students on Shirdi Sai Baba was held here at Unit I Government High School on Sunday.

Organised by Shri Shirdi Sai Charitable Trust of Basantpur, the competition was attended by students from Nursery to Class X. At least 350 students competed in three different categories. Eminent painter Dr Dinanth Pathy and Principal of B K College of Arts Baladev Maharatha attended the competition as special guests and appreciated the works by the students. Director, Mass Education, Benudhar Mishra, chief guest of the function, advised the organisers to hold an exhibition to showcase the drawings by the students.

Odisha Circle Chief of Axis Bank, Binod Bihari Choudhury, gave away certificates  to the students. Secretary of Shirdi Sai Temple, Tankapani Road, Debendra Mishra also attended as a special guest.

Trust chairman Nikhil Mohanty said the winners will be awarded at a special function next month. Secretary Sunil Mohanty and other office-bearers were also present.
