President of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Jaydev Jena on Tuesday warned his detractors within the party by announcing that action will be taken against some senior leaders who tried to sabotage the prospects of party candidates in the recently concluded elections.

The OPCC president, however, refused to divulge the names of the leaders involved in sabotaging the prospects of party candidates and anti-party activities. “We are trying to collect evidence and strong action will be taken against those involved,” he said.

Jena is under fire within the party as several candidates have complained that there was no campaigning by State leaders in many constituencies which affected their poll prospects.

The State Congress continues to be in a turmoil as a section of the party is planning to demand a review of the mismanagement during the recently concluded election campaign.
