BHUBANESWAR: Fullerton India in association with Sightsavers International and JPM Rotary Club of Cuttack Eye Hospital and Research Centre has opened a Vision Care Centre in Bhubaneswar.
The centre will provide access to quality eye care to the economically deprived sections. The services include eye check-up, vision screening and spectacle distribution at primary level. At the secondary level, it will provide comprehensive eye care facilities like cataract surgeries to patients by connecting with JPM Rotary Club of Cuttack Eye Hospital and Research Institute at Cuttack. It will also screen patients for diabetic retinopathy which would be operational in Bhubaneswar.
The centre was inaugurated by Bhubaneswar Mayor Anant Narayan Jena in presence of EVP Fullerton India Rakesh Makkar and CEO Sightsavers India RN Mohanty.
The JPM Rotary Eye Hospital has also opened a vision care centre at Purbanchal Samiti, Nayabazaar, Cuttack recently. Besides providing eye care services like correction of refractive errors and low cost spectacles, it would detect potentially blinding problems such as cataract, glaucoma, signs of vitamin A deficiency and refer them to the hospital for appropriate treatment.
The centre was inaugurated by Chief Executive Officer, Sightsavers-Global Dr Caroline Harper.
