BHUBANESWAR: Thirty-two year old visually challenged man Dilip Sahoo, who had lost both his legs in a train mishap, will be provided artificial limbs. Minister for Women and Child Development, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Prafulla Samal announced this while visiting Sahoo at KIMS Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
He discussed with doctors about his health and assured rehabilitation for Sahoo. The visually impaired man was pushed onto the railway tracks by a thief, who had snatched his mobile phone at Balasore railway station earlier this month.Samal was accompanied by Principal Secretary of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Niten Chandra.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the treatment provided to Sahoo and said it was heartening that many people have come forward with financial help for his treatment. Founder, KIIT and KISS Achyuta Samanta were also present.
