CUTTACK: The Orissa High Court today issued a notice to the state government seeking a status report on the police investigation made so far into the alleged gang rape of a school girl near Kunduli in Koraput district last month.

The incident sent shock waves across the state as the rape survivor and her family members have alleged that the culprits were wearing camouflage uniform.

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Vineet Saran issued the notice on a PIL seeking a probe into the case by central agencies such as the CBI or the NIA.

The matter would be heard again on November 21.
