Nuapada bypoll: Majhi, Sai to campaign on Nov 6

CM Mohan Charan Majhi will hold a Padayatra and canvass for Jay, whereas Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai will also hit the campaign trail at Panchampur village under Bhera panchayat.

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will on Thursday campaign for party candidate Jay Dholakia in Komna block of Nuapada district.

As per the programme schedule, the chief minister will arrive at Gotma Airstrip in Nuapada at about 1.50 pm and proceed to Udyanbandh at about 2.50 pm. After garlanding the Ambedkar statue there, he will hold a Padayatra and canvass for Jay.

Majhi will then hold a roadshow at the Komna block headquarters and later address a public meeting at around 4.40 pm. He will leave for Raipur airport at 6 pm from where he will fly back to Bhubaneswar.

To add momentum to the electioneering tempo, CM of neighbouring Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai will also hit the campaign trail at Panchampur village under Bhera panchayat, 6 km away from Nuapada district headquarters. Sai will hold rallies in areas bordering Chhattisgarh where the neighbouring state holds more influence on the Odia people, said deputy chief minister KV Singh Deo.

Majhi is likely to visit Nuapada again on Friday when he will address several meetings in Nuapada constituency. The chief minister had last visited the district on October 6 when he announced projects worth `1,100 crore.
