BJD general secretary Rudra Narayan Samantaray joins BJP in Bhubaneswar

Sarangi said the growing strength of the organisation at the grassroots level reflects people’s faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and the state government’s development agenda.

BHUBANESWAR: In a setback to the BJD, party’s state general secretary Rudra Narayan Samantaray on Sunday joined BJP along with his supporters. Several other youth leaders of the BJP including joint secretary of the Khurda district Ashok Palei joined the saffron party.

Welcoming the new entrants, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi said the party organisation in the parliamentary constituency has been further strengthened. Sarangi said the growing strength of the organisation at the grassroots level reflects people’s faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and the state government’s development agenda.

Samantaray said he was inspired by PM Modi’s ideals, leadership and working style of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, state BJP president Manmohan Samal and Sarangi. He said the government’s welfare schemes are reaching people at the grassroots and are inspiring the youth.
