According to battalion PRO K Raja, Dabral urged the participants to perform well at the Thal Sainik Camp and the All India Republic Day competitions. The format of training provided at the NCC camps was similar to the one given at the Indian Army Academy and the Officer Training Academy, Raja said.

The commander urged the cadets to make judicious use of assistance schemes and incentives provided by the State and Centre. He also asked the NCC officers to help them perform to the best of their abilities. The commander was received by camp officer Colonel Praveen Chauhan, who observed rifle shooting training, map reading exercises at the camp.
