Telugu forum seeks ban on Annakodi

The Coimbatore Kammavar Seva Sangam has petitioned Collector M Karunakaran seeking to ban the film ‘Annakodi’ directed by K Bharathiraja alleging that the flick has derogatory dialogue against the Telugu community.

President of the Sangam R Devaraj, in a petition, has demanded that the district administration should ban the film as it has conversations that would pose  threat to the national integration.

The dialogue, ‘British have left the country. But Telugu who ruled Vijayanagara dynasty were yet to leave,’ which is against national interest. They also alleged that the film also has objectionable scenes and dialogues, which might disturb peace.
