Rs 9 lakh stolen from Ambur entrepreneur

About Rs 9 lakh was stolen from the box of a bike parked in front of the Ambur branch of Indian Bank, on Omar Road on Monday.

S Sudha, owner of Global Shoe Factory in Vinnamamangalam, had come out of the bank, and on seeing her relative, went over to talk to him after handing over the money to her accountant Balakrishnan.

Within a few minutes Balakrishnan cried out claiming that the cash was stolen from the box in the bike.

Following a complaint from Sudha, the Ambur Town Police registered a case and conducted an investigation. “We suspect Balakrishnan. He has been questioned in this regard,” a police officer said.
