Customers' data safe, says Deputy Manager

ere the customers have kept their valuables, were intact. Computers were connected to the servers in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata and hence the data could be easily retrieved, he added.

The deputy manager said the bank would function from a premises close to the branch from Friday and for emergency transactions, if needed, could be done from Cuddalore branch.

Murugesan said the ATM, which was inside the premises of the first floor of the building, was totally damaged and the loss could be ascertained on Friday. The machine is expected to have a cash of about `20 lakh, he said.
