CHENNAI: Two more persons wanted by the police in the Moulivakkam building collapse case were arrested on Tuesday.

Police said M Balagurusamy (54), one of the directors of the developer Prime Sristi, and K Karthick (25), who worked as a site engineer for the ill-fated building, were absconding since the incident took place.

“They were produced in a court at Sriperumpudur and remanded to judicial custody. With this, we have arrested all the accused at this stage in the case,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police P Subramany.

The collapse of the 11-storey under-construction building at Moulivakkam near Porur on June 28 was termed as the worst disaster ever witnessed in Tamil Nadu. Mangadu police have already arrested six persons including top officials of the construction company, architects and engineers on charges of culpable homicide. Police said the two accused arrested on Tuesday were picked up from a house at Moulivakkam.
