PUDUCHERRY: AIADMK legislator A Anbazhagan, on Wednesday, urged the administration to examine the genuineness of all certificates provided by candidates to obtain government jobs under various categories in the past three years.

Briefing newsmen at a press conference here, Anbazhagan said, fake certificates could have been produced by candidates to get jobs as such certificates had been used to get admission for professional courses through CENTAC. Hence, the certificates provided by candidates who obtained government jobs in the last three years must be verified, he said.

Anbazhagan also demanded the immediate payment of Deepawali bonus as well as unpaid salary to all government and quasi government organisations. Regretting that even after allotting funds in the budget, salaries remained unpaid in several governmental organisations, he also pointed out that the TN government had already announced bonus its staff.

In response to a question on the political situation in TN, he said, the DMK and PMK had no locus standi to criticise AIADMK.

He said, AIADMK was a party which sets examples for others. Without causing trouble to people, certain protests were organised against an ‘injustice’ metted out to the party supremo. The DMK has no grounds to criticise AIADMK on corruption and should look into its own house. The PMK also has no rights to point a finger at AIADMK, when the party itself creates violence in the name of caste, he said.
