CHENNAI: In a minor cabinet reshuffle, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday dropped Dairy Development Minister Madhavaram V Moorthy and brought back BV Ramanaa in his place.

In the evening, Ramanaa was sworn in Minister for Milk and Dairy Development by Governor K Roasiah at a simple function in the Raj Bhavan in the presence of the Chief Minister.

On October 3, 2013, Ramanaa was made Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration.

In another shuffle of portfolios, Ramanaa was given Revenue portfolio on December 9, 2013. Then, on May 19, 2014, he was relieved as Revenue Minister and also stripped of the party post as AIADMK’s Tiruvallur North district secretary.
