House Session to go on Till February 23

CHENNAI: The first session of the State Assembly for the current year, which began with the customary address of Governor K Rosaiah on Tuesday, will go on till February 23.  This was decided by the Business Advisory Committee, which met at the chamber of Speaker P Dhanapal.

Talking to mediapersons, Speaker Dhanapal said obituary references would be made in respect of six former members, who passed away recently, on February 18. Discussion on the motion of thanks

to the Governor’s address would begin on February 19 and continue till February 23, the day when Chief Minister O Panneerselvam would reply to the discussion. February 21 and 22 would be holidays owing to being Saturday and Sunday.
