Express News Service

VELLORE: A married woman, a resident of Uthangarai in Krishnagiri district, has filed a police complaint against her sister-in-law and two others for taking a video of her bathing in the nude and uploading it onto the Internet almost three years ago.

The incident came to light when her husband, Gnanamurthy, a daily-wage labourer, was allegedly surfing porn on the internet on Saturday.  Suganaya claims that her sister-in-law, S Kanmani, took her to Narasingapuram (near Alangayam) in Vellore on August 25th, 2012 for celebrating Kanmani’s cousin’s birthday.

On August 26th, 2012, while bathing in Kanmani’s cousin’s bathroom, she claims she was allegedly videotaped.

According to police, Suganaya in her complaint has alleged that her sister-in-law committed the crime with help from two cousins.  Gnanamurthy confronted his wife with the video, who took some time to recognise that it was shot at Kanmani’s cousin’s house.

Investigation officer Jegan, said, “We received a complaint on Saturday evening. Suganaya could not recognise the place in the video immediately. We cannot come to any conclusion before the investigation is completed.”

A case was registered in Alangayam police station under Sections 66(E) (violation of privacy) and 67 (transmitting obscene material) of the Information and Technology Act.
