Deadline Extended for Pvt Candidates

VELLORE: The deadline for submitting application forms by private candidates who failed in their diploma course has been extended to May 9.  In a press release, A Basheer Ahmed, principal of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), said the extension in application submission deadline from April 22 to May 9 was a special tatkal scheme to facilitate candidates who had missed the earlier deadline. Applications can be downloaded www.tndge.in on May 8 and 9. The filled up forms can be submitted to DIET office at Ranipet with a copy of the student’s identity card and marks certificate.

A fee of `50 per subject, `15 registration and service charge, and `1,000 special tatkal fees has to be paid. Applicants can make use of the Internet facility at DIET to upload the forms.
