Plea for Annadhanam Dismissed

MADURAI: A division bench of the Madras High Court here has dismissed a PIL seeking to direct Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department to provide annadhanam (free food) for the devotees coming to Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple from 8 am to 10 pm daily.        

Justices V Ramasubramanian and N Kirubakaran rejected the plea by K K Ramesh stating that courts could not interfere with the policy decisions of the government.
