CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday honoured Dinamani Editor Vaidhyanathan with the Tamil Thendral Thiru Vi Ka award for the year 2015. Also, she named several other awards for the year.
Industrialist VG Santhosham would be awarded the Thiruvalluvar award while the Thanthai Periyar award would be given to VR Vengan. The Ambedkar award was awarded to A Ponnusamy. Dr Parvatha Regina Pappa would get the Perarignar award.
She said Venkatasamy would be given Perunthalaivar Kamarasar award, while Mahakavi Bharathiyar award would go to Ponnadiyaan. Pavendhar Bharathidasan award would go to Dr V Renukadevi and Muthamizh Kavalar Ki Aa Pe Visuvanatham award to Rajaram.
