Bharat Darshan special train to start rolling on October 25

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will operate a Bharat Darshan train (Deepavali Ganga Snan special), from Madurai to Varanasi on October 25.

CHENNAI: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will operate a Bharat Darshan train (Deepavali Ganga Snan special), from Madurai to Varanasi on October 25.
The 12- day tour will cover several places of historic importance in North India, including Gaya, Varanasi, Allahabad, Delhi, Mathura and Agra.
The train was introduced first in 2005. It will have 18 coaches with nearly 700 berths. K Ravi Kumar, Additional General Manager, IRCTC, said, “The train will be operated via Dindigul, Karur, Erode, Salem and Chennai Central.”

The special train will offer passengers bus transfers, South Indian vegetarian food, accommodation, besides tour and security escort for each coach. Bookings for the tour can either be made online (www.irctctourism.com) or at IRCTC office at Raintree place, Chetpet or at its stall near platform three at Chennai Central.
