CHENNAI: In a big boost to the rebel faction, former minister R S Raja Kannappan joined hands with AIADMK-Puratchi Thalaivi Amma (PT Amma) on Monday. Lyricist Snehan too joined the party in the presence of Panneerselvam. Kannappan, who served as Minister for Public Works Department in J Jayalalithaa’s Cabinet during 1991-96, said leaders working with late Chief Ministers M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa have come together to protect the party from the hands of Sasikala’s family.
