CHENNAI: AISMK founder R Sarathkumar, whose party had earlier decided to contest the RK Nagar bypoll, on Thursday announced his support for TTV Dhinakaran, the candidate for AIADMK (Amma), in the presence of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. The nomination of AISMK candidate Antony Xavier was rejected by the Returning Officer on March 24 for procedural mistakes. The actor told mediapersons that the government, formed by the late CM J Jayalalithaa, should continue and hoped that both factions of the AIADMK would come together.  Dhinakaran reiterated, “If those who left us repent for their action and return, we will take them in.” Meanwhile, 800 youth joined AIADMK (Amma).  VV Vaikundarajan of Dakshina Mara Nadar Sangam was present.
