A day after trust vote, DMK, Panneerselvam meet Tamil Nadu governor 

Sources said three MPs from the DMK, T K S Elangovan, Tiruchy R Siva and R S Bharathi, met the governor and submitted a memorandum on behalf of the leader of the opposition M K Stalin.

CHENNAI: A day after the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K Palanisamy won the vote of confidence in the state Assembly, leaders from the ruling AIADMK party, the opposition DMK party and the rebel camp in the AIDAMK led by O Panneerselvam queued up and had separate meetings with governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan today.

Chief minister Palanisamy was accompanied by other senior ministers in the cabinet and the AIADMK deputy general secretary T T V Dinakaran. Officials described the meeting as a courtesy call.

Senior ministers Sellur K Raju, P Thangamani and S P Velumani and party leaders T T V Dinakaran and Thalavai Sundaram were present during the 20-minute meeting, sources told New Indian Express.

Minutes after Palanisamy's meeting, leaders from the DMK rushed to Raj Bhavan with complaints against the manner in which the trust vote was conducted in the Assembly.

Close on the heels of the DMK delegation, the AIADMK rebel faction led by former chief minister O Panneerselvam too drove to Raj Bhavan to submit a complaint decrying the conduct of the trust vote.
