CHENNAI: THE State government on Saturday appointed a senior IAS officer P Senthil Kumar as Secretary III to Chief Minister ‘Edappadi’ K Palaniswami.
Hitherto, Senthil Kumar was Secretary, Finance (Expenditure).
Shiv Das Meena, hitherto Secretary III to the Chief Minister has been deputed to the Government of India. He will be joining as joint secretary in the union Urban Development ministry. Orders in this regard were issued on June 15 and he will be relieved on July 31. Following this, the subjects dealt with by Meena in the Chief Minister’s office have been allocated to Senthil Kumar.
Consequently, S Vijayakumar, Principal Secretary III to Chief Minister has been designated as Secretary II to the Chief Minister. Mythili K Rajendran, Additional Secretary, Public Department, will hold full additional charge as Secretary, Public and Rehabilitation Department.
Meanwhile, State government has transferred MA Siddique, Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research. He will take over as Secretary, Finance (Expenditure).
