CHENNAI: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Friday launched an exclusive website — www.tnartisan.com — which will serve as an e-Repository of Tamil Nadu artisans and their skills. Besides, he also presented awards to artisans.

The website has all information about the skills of each  artisan.  It is planned to provide information about two lakh artisans in Tamil Nadu. Of this, information about 10,000 have been gathered. Information about 500 has been hosted.  

In this website, a separate web page has been created for each artisan. Meanwhile, the CM also presented award for elderly artisans who are above 65 years and nine received the award which carries `one lakh, one gold medal and a certificate. The Chief Minister inaugurated  the new taluk office at Alandur.
